All paver patios and walkways are installed on a stabilized base (portland cement mixed with sand). First the base is vibrated in place and extended 4-6 inches past the edge of the future patio. Second, one inch of sharp sand is leveled on the base in preparation for the pavers. The pavers are then laid and cut in place. The edge is then restrained with portland and rebar. Finally the pavers are compacted with a vibratory plate to achieve interlock.
